Wander Brewing is a beautiful American built brewhouse in an old refurbished warehouse. They have a really friendly staff which is actually knowledgeable about the beers they serve. There are funky live edge tables with beer hall benches that add a great appeal to the place. The space itself is kids friendly so you don’t have to worry about your children while you enjoy your beers. For food you can find different food trucks daily, but you are also free to bring your own food. There is outdoor seating on the patio when the weather is accommodating, but most importantly, there are truly unique beers available that can satisfy every kind of palate!
Wander Brewhouse is open and adjoining to the hall. It’s a rather industrial environment with reclaimed wooden tables and chairs. There are some picnic tables as well for outdoor seating. Whether you are with family, or with friends you can get comfortable here easily. The staff is very accommodating and will give you no chance to complain.
The beers of Wander Brewing are crafted for those who love trying different and unique styles. They use highest quality ingredients and brew with creative techniques. Some of their best offerings that you can start with are-
- Global Mutt- Coffee sourced direct from the farmer in Brazil, fair trade cocoa nibs from the Democratic Republic of Congo, chocolate from Theo’s in Seattle, water from Bellingham, hops from Yakima, and specialty malt from Europe dance together in this BIG Baltic porter…a true Global Mutt.
- Belling Hammer- Brewed in support of Bellingham United FC, they perform a two step mash on a ton full of British specialty malts and then boil for a full 90 minutes to bring out classic wee heavy attributes.
- Uncommon- A truly American style, more commonly known as steam beer. This California Common is created using their own Bavarian Lager yeast strain fermented at ale like temperatures. A nice dose of Belgian Abbey malt lends a tasty biscuit flavor to this delicious amber colored brew.
Wanders location on the edge of downtown Hamsterham makes it great for locals, and is a great spot on a 5 brewery loop of B’ham. If you are tired of the same old mass produced beers that are so common, and seek the taste of something original then Wanders will be right up your alley. Go for it!
